On May 4th, 2000 Sister Hellen was the first Sister to pose for Saint
and renound artist Thomasina De Maio.
Thomasina promised the Order 12 paintings of the Sisters in a years
time. On August 11th 2001 Thomasina (now known as Novice Sister
Donatella Donaska) open her show amid the redwoods of the Russian River
resort town of Gurneville. Not 12 but 16 painting including a
self portrait of the artist were shown with more paintings in the
works. The event netted over $1000 for charity in the Sonoma county.
